A: We ship worldwide with Deutsche Post, DHL, FedEx and FedEx Express.

 

Q: How can I pay?
A: In our online shop we accept PayPal, Bank Transfer payment, Sofort Überweisung and credit cards - MasterCard and Visa.

 

Q: How long does the shipment to my country take?
A: The shipping duration depends on the courier. DHL is slower than FedEx and FedEx Express is the fastest service that we offer.

 

Q: How do you package the bikes?
A: Each bike is professionally and securely packed.


 

Sell a bicycle

Q: What are the advantages of selling a bicycle via VeloBird?
A: Selling a bike is not easy. It can be stressful and time consuming, but uncertainty about the price and payment can also arise. We want to change that for you: With us you get a very good price offer for your bike quickly and easily. If you accept the offer, you can send it to us free of charge. We take care of the right bike box and the shipping label. After the bike has arrived with us, you will receive the payment quickly and securely.

 

Q: When is the payment made?
A: As soon as the bike has arrived, our bike mechanics will inspect the bike to rule out major damage that has not been stated. You will then receive the payment from us. This usually takes 2-3 working days in total.

 

Q: What does VeloBird pay attention to during the bicycle inspection?
A: Our bike mechanics check whether the bike is in the condition as described. We are less concerned with normal signs of use, but with larger damage that was not specified before the offer was made, such as broken frames or cracks.

 

Q: Does the payout always correspond exactly to the price offer?
A: Usually yes. Only in absolutely exceptional cases do we have to send the bike back to you after the inspection. These exceptional cases are concealed major damage, such as frame breaks and cracks, or major rust damage.

 

Q: Who takes care of the shipping?
A: VeloBird takes care of the shipping. You will receive a bicycle box, packaging materials and a shipping label from us. So you only have to pack the bike in the bike box. The packed bike will then be conveniently picked up from your home.

 

Q: Who pays the shipping?
A: The shipping costs are already included in our price offer for your bike. So you can use the shipping label that we have already filled out, which we will send you, free of charge. There are no additional costs for you.

 

Q: How do I get the shipping label?
A: You will receive the pre-filled shipping label with the bike box, which we will send to you.

 

Q: Is the price offer negotiable?
A: No, the price offer reflects the maximum price from us.

 

Q: How long does it take to get an offer for my bike?
A: In most cases we will send the offer within 24 hours.

 

Q: How long is the price offer valid?
A: Our offer for your bike is valid for 1 week (7 days).

 

Q: How is the price offer determined?
A: Each bike is assessed by our bike experts based on your information. They are very knowledgeable about high quality bikes and they know the market prices for used bicycles. We do not use an algorithm, so it is ensured that in addition to the condition, each additional component and each conversion can be well considered.

 

Q: Is the price offer to low?
A: There is no fixed selling price for a bicycle. If you properly prepare and clean your bike, then professionally photograph it, give a sales guarantee, take the time to pack and ship it yourself securely, then you will likely be able to sell the bike for a higher price than our price quote reflects. We therefore have to take shipping and handling costs into account in our price offer.

 

Q: Is there an offer for every bike?
A: No, you will usually only receive an offer for high-quality bicycles. But even if we don't send you an offer, we'll get in touch with you.

 

Q: How do I decline a price offer?
A: In that case you don't have to do anything. Our price offer expires automatically after 1 week.

 

Q: Can I hand over the bike instead of shipping it?
A: That's fine. You can hand over the bike in our branch in Berlin.
